Notes:
1. Doom(Butch Reed & Ron Simmons) defeated Rick & Scott Steiner to win the NWA Tag Team titles on May 19, 1990 in Washington, DC The title was renamed as the WCW Tag Team titles in January of 1991. The NWA Tag Team titles was considered vacant until July 1992.
2. The Fabulous Freebirds(Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin) already lost the titles to the Steiners at a TV taping before winning the titles from Doom(Butch Reed & Ron Simmons).
3. The tag team title changed was aired on March 9, 1991. The titles were vacated on July 18, 1991 when Scott Steiner was injured.
4. The Enforcers (Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko) defeated Rick Steiner & Bill Kazmier in a 8 Team tournament final.
5. Terry Gordy & Steve Williams defeated Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes in a tournament final on July 12, 1992 in Albany, Georgia to win the NWA Tag Team titles & unified them with the WCW Tag titles.
6. Arn Anderson & Paul Roma defeated Steve Austin & Steven Regal, who was subbing for an injured Brian Pillman. The title recognition was dropped by the NWA in September of 1993 when WCW withdrew from the NWA. The title continues to be recognized by WCW. The NWA fought a court battle with WCW and held a tournament for the NWA World Tag Team titles in 1995.
7. Harlem Heat(Booker T & Stevie Ray) defeated Sting & Lex Luger, & The Steiner Borthers in a Triangle Match.
8. Rick & Scott Steiner defeated The Outsiders(Scott Hall & Kevin Nash) on January 26, 1997 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa but were forced to return the tag team titles back to the Outsiders on the next night by WCW VP, Eric Bischoff. The Giant & Lex Luger defeated The Outsiders on February 23, 1997 in San Francisco, California, but had to give the titles back the next night.
9. Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Scott Hall & Syxx, who was subbing for Nash.
10. The titles were vacated on June 4, 1998 after Sting & The Giant broke up. The Giant put the titles on the line with Brian Adams against Diamond Dallas Page & Lex Luger on June 4, 1998. Luger & Page won the match, but WCW Chairman, JJ Dillon, said that Giant & Sting should face each other and the winner of that match wins both belts and gets to choose a new tag team partner.
11. Sting chose Kevin Nash to be his partner after defeating the Giant in a match on the previous day in Baltimore, Maryland.
12. Rick Steiner & Marcus Bagwell defeated The Giant & Scott Steiner, who was subsituting for Scott Hall, the previous night in Las Vegas, Nevada, but Bagwell turned on Rick Steiner. Rick Steiner chose Kenny Kaos as his new partner on October 26, 1998 in Phoenix, Arizona. The titles were vacated in Janaury of 1999 when Rick Steiner was injured.
13. Barry Windham & Curt Hennig defeated Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko in a tournament final.
14. Raven & Perry Saturn defeated Rey Misterio Jr & Billy Kidman, and Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko in a three way match.
15. Diamond Dallas Page & Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Perry Saturn & Chris Kanyon, who was subbing for an injured Raven. They lost the titles to Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn, who was subbing for Ric Flair who left the ring during the match. Ric Flair declared the titles did not change because of the illegal subsitution, then gave the legal right to DDP, Chris Kanyon, & Bam Bam Bigelow to use any comobnation to defend the titles.
16. Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn defeated Diamond Dallas Page & Chris Kanyon.
17. Diamond Dallas Page & Chris Kanyon won the tag team titles.
18. Konnan & Rey Misterio Jr were stripped of the tag team titles in October of 1999 when Misterio is injured.
19. Harlem Heat(Booker T & Stevie Ray) defeated Konnan & Billy Kidman, and Brian Knobs & Hugh Morrus in a triangle match
20. Crowbar & David Flair defeated Kevin Nash & Scott Steiner in a Lethal Lottery tournament final.
21. Vince Russo vacated the title on April 10, 2000 in Denver, Colorado. Buff Bagwell & Shane Douglas defeated Lex Luger & Ric Flair in the tournament final.
22. Kronik (Bryan Clark & Brian Adams) defeated Shane Douglas & The Wall(replacing Buff Bagwell who was suspended for 30 Days).
23. Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo defeated Kronik by DQ to win the titles.
24. Titles were vacated on September 18, 2000 when Disco Inferno was pinned by the Cat in a stipulation match. Mark Jindark & Sean O'Haire won the tag team titles in a battle royal by eliminating Rey Misterio Jr.
25. Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo defeated Alex Wright & Elix Skipper for the titles.
26. The titles were given back to Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo after a controversial finish by Commissioner Mike Sanders.
27. Kane & The Undertkaaer temporarily unified the titles with the WWF Tag Team Titles which they held at the time.
28. The titles were unified with the WWF Tag Team Titles when the WWF Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz beat the Hardy Boyz.
